Can Browns Transport ship overseas?
Yes - international freight is the newest branch of the business. Air freight, ocean freight in a shared or full container, overseas household relocations and vehicle shipping, all quoted through the Vernon office and booked through our freight partner in Calgary.
What is the difference between LCL and FCL?
LCL (less than container load) means your goods share a container with other shipments - ideal for up to about 7 cubic metres. FCL (full container load) gives you a 20', 40' or 45' container to yourself. Internal dimensions and cargo limits for each size are on this page.
How long does international shipping take?
Air freight runs 3 to 5 days. Ocean freight runs roughly 2 to 8 weeks port to port, depending on where it loads and where it lands - Rotterdam is about 7 weeks from Vancouver and 2 from Montreal. The full transit table is on this page.
